Motiva on July 20 restarted the 105,000-BBL/d Hydrocracker at its 600,000-BBL/d Port Arthur, Texas, refinery, after it was shut down on June 18 for planned catalyst work.

International
Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) on June 18 restarted the 22,000-BBL/d CDU 1 and 22,000-BBL/d CDU 2 at its 267,000-BBL/d Sitrah Refinery in Bahrain. The units were under an unplanned shutdown since April 15 and Mar 21, respectively, due to low demand as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ecopetrol continues to operate its 165,000-BBL/d Cartagena Refinery in Columbia at approximately 65% capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is expected to continue as such throughout the month of July. Separately, repairs on the 40,000-BBL/d FCCU, 9,670-BBL/d HF Alkylation and associated units, as part of the refinery's 2020 turnaround program, continue on schedule for September.

Hebei Xinhai Chemical Group Company Limited began a 27-day planned plant-wide turnaround, on July 15, at its 120,000-BBL/d Cangzhou Refinery in China. The turnaround involves five major units, and expectations are to complete repairs and restart the units by August 10.
