New Jersey's Richard Stockton College Unveils $40 Million Unified Science Center

Reported by Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Just in time for fall classes, Richard Stockton College (Galloway Township, New Jersey) opened it $39.5 million Unified Science Center. The new building will help the college hold its distinction of graduating 20% of all math and science majors in New Jersey, more than any other state college or university.

Designed by EYP Architecture, the three-story, 67,000-square-foot building features 28 teaching and research laboratories. The sustainably designed facility utilizes Stockton's existing geothermal system of heating and cooling; as well as allowing for increased utilization of the school's energy-efficient Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) system.

Construction of the project began in 2011. Bovis Lend Lease served as the construction manager, while the Dobco Group was the general contractor. Marathon Engineering was another member of the project team.
