Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Nine proposed natural-gas-fired power plants along the southern coast of California, ranging from 370 megawatts (MW) to 943 MW, have applied for emission-reduction credits from the Air Quality Management District's Priority Reserve Account. The South Coast Air Quality Management District (Diamond Bar, California) is continuing to work with the projects so they can meet the requirements for the credits. Unfortunately, because of a recent court decision that set aside the Priority Reserve's regulations, the credits currently cannot be accessed in order to move ahead with the projects.
