PRODUCTION
Noble Energy to Bring Back Most of Curtailed Production by End of July - Noble Energy (NYSE:NBL) said on Thursday it expected to bring back online a majority of curtailed oil production volume by the end of July, as oil prices have recovered from their historic lows. During the second quarter, Noble's curtailments averaged about 11,000 barrels of oil per day, which totaled 32,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day on a net basis, the company said in a statement. CRUDE OIL
U.S. Increases Oil Imports from Mexico - U.S. crude oil imports from Mexico surged to the highest level in more than eight years last week. U.S. buyers boosted their purchases by 834,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to about 1.3 million BBL/d in the week to July 3, the highest since February 2012, according to the Energy Information Administration. PIPELINES
Energy Transfer Says Dakota Access to Keep Running During Legal Challenge - Energy Transfer (NYSE:ET) said on Wednesday it will continue to operate the Dakota Access oil pipeline (DAPL) while it challenges a court ruling this week ordering it to shut and empty the line. A U.S. court on Monday ordered the 570,000-barrel-per-day pipeline to stop operations and empty out within 30 days, after finding fault with one of its environmental permits. "We have not yet taken any steps to begin shutting down the line," spokeswoman Vicki Granado said. "To be clear, we have not suggested that we would defy a court order. Rather, DAPL is seeking appropriate relief from that order through the established legal process." (Reuters)
