Steelhead LNG has placed its planned Kwispaa LNG terminal on hold due to financing issues. The project was in the design phase, with a financial investment decision expected in 2020. Steelhead had partnered with the Huu-ay-aht First Nation on the project. The LNG production site has a design capacity of 12 million metric tons per year, and Steelhead has until 2026 to construct and ship first exports if a decision to proceed is made.
