Researched by Industrial Info Resources Latin America (Cordoba, Argentina)--Brazilian conglomerate Odebrecht (Bahia) is awaiting the completion of a transmission line to connect the Corredor do Senandes windfarm complex to the power grid.
View Project Report - 300045718 300029053 300029064
The complex includes four windfarms: the 29.7-megawatt (MW) Corredor do Senandes I; the 21.6-MW-Corredor do Senandes II; the 27-MW-Corredor do Senandes III; and the 29.7-MW Vento Aragano I. The project has 40 wind turbines of 2.7 MW each, provided by Alstom SA (EPA:ALO) (Levallois-Perret, France), with a total installed capacity of 108 MW.
The project has an estimated construction investment of $177 million.
Two of the four windfarms are fully assembled and ready to begin operations in test mode. The remaining two are in advanced stages of construction, with completion expected by the end of the year.
The windfarms are awaiting the completion of the transmission line to begin commercial operations. Any delays in the construction of the transmission lines or substations will result in a delayed start-up of the windfarms.
