PPM Energy Begins Construction of 150-Megawatt Shiloh Windfarm
Construction started earlier this month and the plant is scheduled to begin full commercial operation by the end of 2005.

PPM Energy Incorporated (PPM) (Portland, Oregon), the United States wholesale energy business of ScottishPower PLC (NYSE:SPI) (Glasgow, Scotland), has started construction of the $235 Million 150-Megawatt Shiloh Windfarm located in Sacramento, California.
Construction for the project started earlier this month and is scheduled to begin full commercial operation by the end of 2005. The project will consist of 100 1.5-Megawatt GE Energy wind turbine generators. PPM Energy has signed two long-terrm contract agreements for 125-megawatts of Shilohs output capacity. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) signed a 15-year power purchasing agreement for 75-megawatts and Modesto Irrigation District (MID) signed a 10-year power purchasing agreement for 50-megawatts.
M.A. Mortenson Company, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will perform the turn-key services for the project.
