Rocky Mountains Region to See More Than $5.4 Billion in Project Completions in First-Half 2018
The Rocky Mountains market region, which includes Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah and Wyoming, is set for $5.49 billion in industrial project completions in the first half of 2018.

In Cheyenne, Wyoming, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) (Redmond, Washington) is wrapping up construction of a data center on a 120-acre site in North Range Business Park. Hensel Phelps is the general contractor on the project, which has an estimated TIV of $200 million. Within the Power Industry, Torch Renewable Energy LLC (Houston, Texas) is nearing completion of a photovoltaic solar plant near Kingman, Arizona. The facility is being constructed on an 800-acre site and will generate 70 megawatts of power when completed. The project, which has an estimated TIV of $120 million, began construction last summer. With a growing population, power transmission projects also feature heavily in the region. Among these is Arizona Public Service Company's (Phoenix, Arizona) transmission line from Maricopa County, Arizona, to Peoria, Arizona. Construction on the 40-mile, overhead, single-circuit transmission line began in the second half of 2016 and is expected to be completed this summer. In the Oil & Gas Production Industry, DCP Midstream LP (NYSE:DCP) (Denver, Colorado) is underway with construction of a third train at its natural gas processing plant in Gilcrest, Colorado. The train will process 200 million cubic feet per day of natural gas, bringing the total plant capacity to 435 million cubic feet per day. Construction began last summer and is expected to be completed early this summer. In Jal, New Mexico, Howard Midstream Energy Partners LLC (San Antonio, Texas) is underway with construction on a 200 million-cubic-foot-per-day natural gas processing plant. Construction on the $150 million project began in the second half of last year and is expected to be completed early this summer. Trailhead Engineering (Houston) is providing EPC work.
