Steel Asia Continues Expansion, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Steel Asia Manufacturing Corporation, the Philippine's biggest steel manufacturer, is continuing with its capacity expansion program as it anticipates demand to increase due to upcoming government infrastructure projects in the country. Steel Asia's five-year plan is divided into two phases with the aim to construct three new steel mills and expand two of its existing operations in Luzon, the region with the most steel construction activity. Upon completion of its expansion plan, Steel Asia will double its current capacity and will be able to produce 5 million ton per year of steel products.
