Suffolk Construction Has Hand in $3 Billion Worth of Active Projects

Examples include a brownfield laboratory building for Beacon Capital Partners LLC (Boston), construction of which is expected to kick off in the coming months. The project entails demolishing an existing warehouse building and building a 10-story, 380,000-square-foot facility with underground parking and space for life-science companies to conduct research and development activities. Also of note is a 16-story LEED Gold-certified advanced genomic testing facility in Boston for Foundation Medicine Incorporated (Cambridge, Massachusetts). Suffolk seems to be doing just that with key examples of the types of projects Amazon is constructing. The project, which kicked off in 2021, entails demolishing existing industrial buildings and constructing a three-story, 278,500-square-foot facility to provide Amazon cloud data services to the region. On the other side of the country, in Brooklyn, New York, Suffolk is in the late phases of construction for a distribution/last-mile delivery center for Amazon.
