Tembo Power to Build $352 Million of Hydro Projects in Africa, an Industrial Info Market Brief

Tembo Power, which is based in Mauritius, plans to develop $352 million worth of hydropower projects in Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Burundi.

The company already has signed a joint development agreement with South African private equity fund manager Metier for the 14.7-megawatt (MW) Kaptis project in western Kenya, which will use small-scale hydropower. The other projects are in various stages of development.
