Palmer II, the president and CEO of Thundering Plains Wind Farm LLC, today announced the execution of a binding commitment for a multiyear operations and maintenance (O&M) services agreement with NAES Corporation for the 150-megawatt (MW) wind power generating station currently being developed in West Texas.
"We are pleased to have a company of NAES' caliber operate Thundering Plains. We intend on keeping this facility reliable and within determined commercial availability parameters for 30 years, and NAES conforms to this plan," said Mr. Palmer. Charlie Bunn, vice president of operations for Thundering Plains, stated, "I have installed over 4,600 turbines in my 30-year career and am pleased to be working with a quality company such as NAES."
This latest facility adds to the existing portfolio of wind power generating stations operated by NAES. NAES has served the power generation industry since 1980, including 23 years of O&M in conventional and renewable energy technologies.
