TotalEnergies Prepares to Resume Mozambique LNG Project

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--TotalEnergies SE (Courbevoie, France) is awaiting the return of state services and the local population before ending force majeure and recommencing work at its Mozambique liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. TotalEnergies previously envisaged resuming work during second-quarter 2022 after an insurgent attack in the Cabo Delgaro region stopped the project. The construction work now is expected to kick off again in fourth-quarter 2022 or by the beginning of 2023, with the first LNG cargo anticipated in 2026.
