UGG Livestock Services Constructing New Feed Mill Near Edmonton

UGG Livestock Services Division (TSE: UGG) (Okotoks, Alberta) is underway with construction activities on a new livestock feed mill in Edmonton, Alberta Canada. The company selected FWS Construction Limited (Winnipeg, Manitoba) to construct the 105,000 square foot building that will process over 160,000 tons per year of full range livestock feeds for dairy, beef, swine, poultry, horses, pets, aquaculture, and exotic animals. The facility will also have an on-site storage capacity of about 5,000 tons.

Construction began back in July of this year. Concrete is being poured and the steel structures are going up on the $15 million feed mill that should be operational by February of 2004. The site is located in the Griffon Industrial Park in Edmonton and once the project is completed, about 10 additional area jobs will be created.
