PRODUCTION
Dallas Fed Survey: Regional Oil, Gas Activity Contracted in Q2 - Activity in the U.S. oil and gas sector in Texas, Louisiana and New Mexico contracted slightly in the second quarter of 2025, the Dallas Fed survey showed on Wednesday, as firms grappled with a jump in steel tariffs. Almost half of the executives surveyed expect to drill fewer wells in 2025 than they planned at the start of the year, while a quarter said they expect the number of wells they drill to decrease significantly. Twenty-seven percent of firms said the recent jump in U.S. steel import tariffs to 50% from 25% will lead to them drilling slightly fewer wells. Responses were collected June 18-26. Of the respondents, 91 were exploration and production firms and 45 were oilfield services firms. (Reuters)

U.S. Crude Oil Stocks Rise - U.S. crude oil inventories increased 3.845 million barrels for the week ending June 27, according to the US Energy Information Administration (EIA). Gasoline inventories rose 4.188 million barrels, and distillates were 1.710 million barrels lower week-on-week. U.S. refinery runs were up 118,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) to 17.105 million BBL/d for the week ending June 27, according to the EIA. (IIR Energy)

Russia Pipeline Gas to Europe Down 18% in June - Russian energy giant Gazprom's (Saint Petersburg) average daily natural gas supplies to Europe via the TurkStream undersea pipeline fell by 18.3% in June from a month earlier amid maintenance of the infrastructure, Reuters calculations showed on Wednesday. Turkey is the only transit route left for Russian gas to Europe after Ukraine chose not to extend a five-year transit deal with Moscow when it expired on January 1. (Reuters)
