West Liberty’s $50 Million Poultry Processing Plant in Utah on Track For Summer Startup

Last fall, the company started construction on a $50 million project that includes a 218,000 square-foot production building and cold storage facility that will further process 135 million pounds of meat and poultry products annually, including 36 million pounds of ready-to-eat chicken. Facility Group, Incorporated (Smyrna, Georgia), the design-build contractor, has maintained construction management responsibilities and expects to turn the building over to the owner in July. The building has been erected and the floors will be poured by the end of this month. Meat processing equipment is expected to begin arriving on site by the first of March.
