Alliant Settles with EPA, Agrees to Install SCR Equipment at Iowa Power Plant

The agreement codifies several recent environmental initiatives by Alliant's Iowa utility, Interstate Power & Light Company (IP&L) (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) as well as commits the utility to install selective catalytic reduction (SCR) equipment to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions at Unit 1 of its generating station in Ottumwa, Iowa.
