SUGAR LAND--November 13, 2020--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--A record-breaking 23 gigawatts (GW) of new wind-turbine generating capacity is expected to come online this year in the U.S., as developers race the clock to take advantage of the full value of the wind energy production tax credit (PTC), according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA). The last record was set in 2012, when 13.2 GW of online wind capacity came online.
