Louisiana's Industries Continue to Assess Plant Damage Following Hurricane Ida

SUGAR LAND--August 31, 2021--Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Power providers, oil & gas producers, petroleum refiners and chemical processors were continuing on Monday to assess damage caused by Hurricane Ida, which left 1 million power customers without electricity in Louisiana. More than 1.9 million barrels per day (BBL/d) of crude oil processing capacity were offline on Monday at six petroleum refineries in the state, and 12.5 billion pounds per year of ethylene capacity was offline at six petrochemical plants.
