Vale and H2 Green Steel to Explore the Construction of Green Industrial Hubs in Brazil and North America
september 7, 2023--Written by Amir Richani for Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--On Wednesday, Vale SA (NYSE:VALE) (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) and Sweden's H2 Green Steel reported signing an agreement to conduct feasibility studies to build green industrial hubs in Brazil and North America.
H2 Green Steel is studying the possibility of producing low-carbon steel value chains from hot-briquetted iron (HBI) and green hydrogen. The miner will produce the HBI by constructing briquette plants in these hubs to feed suppliers in these industrial areas.
