Advanced Refining Concepts Nearing Completion of Clean Liquid Fuels Plant in Nevada

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held startup Advanced Refining Concepts LLC (Reno, Nevada) has nearly finished constructing the company's clean liquid fuels plant near Reno, Nevada. The company constructed a 10,000-square-foot building on a five-acre site in Reno-Tahoe Industrial Park, and the site is considered one of the first new U.S. refineries during the last 30 years that will go into production.

The plant consists of a main production building, four 5,000-barrel storage tanks, a product-loading rack, and a utility building, along with 10 fully automated, robotic-controlled, closed-loop catalytic systems that efficiently convert natural gas or other biogases, such as vented methane or landfill gas, into clean liquid fuels.

When in full production, the plant will have the capacity to produce 100,000 gallons per day of trademarked "GDiesel" clean liquid fuel. The fuel can be used in a wide variety of transportation vehicles, including fleet, diesel truck, autos and locomotives, military vehicles and power-generating equipment. Operations are expected to begin late this month or early April of this year. A Phase II expansion is also in the works that could double the plant's production capacity.

Reno Engineering Corporation (Reno) provided the engineering for the estimated $10 million project, and L.A. Perks Plumbing & Heating (Sparks, Nevada) was the primary mechanical installation subcontractor.
