Chemical Producers in Middle East to Invest $14 Billion in PDH, Polypropylene Units, an Industrial Info Market Brief

The Middle East's Chemical Processing Industry could be set for stronger production of polypropylene, which is used in the manufacture of various plastic products. Polypropylene is made from propylene, which is sometimes produced using the propane dehydrogenation (PDH) process.

Companies in the Middle East are set to invest about $14.28 billion in 32 capital-spending projects for new PDH and polypropylene units. Iran tops the list with 18 projects, followed by Egypt and Saudi Arabia with six and five, respectively.
