China's Natural Gas Output Rises 11.3% in June Year Over Year, an Industrial Info Market Brief

China produced 15.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas in June, an increase of 11.3% over the same month in 2019, the National Bureau of Statistics of China said on July 16. The country imported 8.33 million metric tons of natural gas last month, up 10.8% year over year, and 6.6 percentage points higher than in May.

For the period of January through June, natural gas production reached 94.0 billion cubic meters, an increase of 10.3% year over year, the bureau said. China imported 48.36 million metric tons of natural gas during the first six months of this year, a 3.3% increase over the same period in 2019.
