China's power consumption reached 526.4 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in February, an 18.5% jump year over year

China's power consumption reached 526.4 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in February, an 18.5% jump year over year, according to China's National Energy Administration (NEA).
Accumulative consumption for the first two months of the year reached 1,258.8 billion kWh, a 22.2% increase over the same period in 2021, the NEA said.
Consumption by China's primary industries (agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining, and oil & gas production) reached 6.5 billion kWh in February, a 26.4% increase year over year; that of the secondary industries (manufacturing) reached 321.8 billion kWh, up 22.5%; and consumption by the tertiary industries (services) reached 100.4 billion kWh, a jump of 24.7%.
Consumption by urban and township households reached 212.1 billion kWh, up 10% year over year.
