China's Solar Power Output Jumps 12% Year over Year in First Two Months of 2020, an Industrial Info Market Brief
In the first two months of 2020, China's overall power generation output reached 1.03 trillion kilowatt-hours (kWh), or a daily average output of 17.11 billion kWh, a drop of 8.2% year over year, according to the National Bureau of Statistics of China. For January through February, thermal power output dropped 8.9% year over year; nuclear power fell 2.2%; hydropower dropped 11.9%; and wind power decreased 0.2%. However, solar power increased 12% year over year, the statistics bureau reported.
