Colwell Systems Selects Construction Firm for $12 Million Printing Plant in Illinois

The Mohr Partners International, headquartered in Addison, Texas, was awarded the Construction Management Contract for the new plant.

Located near the intersection of Duncan Road and US 150 on 17.6 acres, the 150,000 square foot plant is being constructed to replace two existing plants located in Champaign, Illinois. Construction on the new plant is expected to start in March 2004 with completion scheduled for fall 2004.

The 370 employees from 201 West Kenyon Road and North Staley Road plants in Champaign will move to the new plant, as well as 50 employees from a Roselle plant located in Chicago, Illinois. The Kenyon and Staley plants will be put up for sale.

Colwell Systems, founded in 1927, was acquired by Patterson Dental Company in 1996. Colwell Systems is a manufacturer and distributor of office supplies for dentists, doctors, and other health care professionals worldwide.
