NATURAL GAS
Low U.S. Gas Gains Cause Pricing Surge - The U.S. Energy Information Administration reported that U.S. natural gas stockpiles climbed 65 billion cubic feet (Bcf) for the week ending June 3 to 2,972 Bcf. The gain was lower than analysts' expectations, which caused U.S. gas futures to surge 6% to their highest level since September.
PRODUCTION
EIA: May's Unplanned Oil Disruptions Highest Since 2011 - The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that global oil supply disruptions in May averaged 3.6 million barrels per day, the highest amount since at least January 2011, when the agency started tracking disruptions.
BP, Eni Announce Gas Find Off Egypt Coast - BP plc (NYSE:BP) (London, England) and Eni SpA (NYSE:E) (Rome, Italy) report that they have made a significant natural gas discovery in the East Nile Delta off the Egyptian coast. The area is 10 kilometers north of the Nooros gas field, which has a production rate of 65,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day. Both companies hold a 50% stake in the new prospect.
CONSTRUCTION
KBR Incorporated's 10 Top-Valued Projects Anchored in LNG, Offshore Drilling Markets - KBR Incorporated (NYSE:KBR) (Houston, Texas) has been riding the wave of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and offshore drilling projects that have crested in the past few years. Across all industries, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) provider is involved in 155 projects that carry a total investment value of $144.52 billion.
POWER
Mega Solar Power Station Planned for Nuevo Leon, Mexico - CMB Wireless Group (CWG) (Bohemia, New York) with Dhamma Energy Mexico, SA de CV (Mexico City) plans to construct a Solar Photovoltaic (PV) power station in the state of Nuevo Leon in northeast Mexico. The station will be located at about 2 kilometers northeast of the city of Marin. The project has a total investment value of $100 million.
New Jersey Power Project Begins Construction - Construction of the 540-megawatt (MW) Sewaren 7 combined-cycle power project recently got under way in New Jersey. Located at PSEG's existing power station, the dual-fuel project is owned by PSEG Power LLC, a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated (NYSE:PEG) (Newark, New Jersey).
PIPELINES
Plains All American Receives Approval for Short Crude Pipeline - Plains All American Pipeline LP (NYSE:PAA) (Houston, Texas) has received approval from North Carolina regulators to construct a 10-mile pipeline, 1 million-gallon-per day pipeline from the company's Robinson Lake facility to a rail facility.
