Baker Hughes: U.S. Oil Drillers Add Rigs - The number of rigs drilling for oil in the U.S. increased by seven for the week ending September 9, to 414, marking the 10th week in 11 that oil drillers have increased the number of rigs. (Reuters)

Judge Says Dakota Access Pipeline Can Proceed - Construction can move ahead on Energy Transfer Partners LP's controversial crude oil pipeline in North Dakota, a federal judge ruled on Friday, rejecting a request from Native Americans and environmentalists opposed to the project. (Bloomberg)

Enterprise Withdraws Indication of Interest for Williams - On Thursday, Enterprise Products Partners LP (NYSE:EPD) (Houston, Texas) announced that it had officially withdrawn its indication of interest in a proposed merger with Williams Companies Incorporated (NYSE:WMB) (Tulsa, Oklahoma). Mexico to Cut Pemex Budget in 2017 - Petroleos Mexicanos's (Pemex) oil and natural gas production is poised to fall to its lowest level since 1980 after lawmakers approve an 86 billion-peso ($4.6 billion) budget cut proposed by Mexico's Finance Ministry. Pemex and the Finance Ministry forecast the state-owned company's production to fall to 1.925 million barrels a day in 2017, about a 13 percent decline from the current 2.2 million barrels. Natural Gas-Fired Facility Comes Online in Oregon - The 440-megawatt, natural gas-fired Carty Generating Station, which is located Boardman, Oregon began commercial operation last month following its completion by Portland General Electric Company (PGE) (Portland, Oregon). (IIR)

Centrica Signs £2 Billion Gas Deal with Qatar - As North Sea gas supplies dwindle, Centrica plc (OTC:CPYYY) (Windsor, England) has signed a £2 billion ($2.7 billion) deal to buy gas from Qatar. (IIR)
