Frontera Petroleum Resources Selects Engineer to Study Grassroot Refinery in Nigeria

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Frontera Petroleum Resources Incorporated (Houston, Texas) has selected KBR Incorporated (NYSE:KBR) (Houston, Texas) to perform equipment studies for construction of a 160,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Abuja, Nigeria. KBR is expected to continue the study through early 2012.

Frontera Petroleum is expected to select an engineering and construction firm for the project in early 2012. Construction of the refinery is scheduled to kick off in 2013 and is expected to take about 36 months. The refinery will produce gasoline, gas oil, kerosene, and jet fuels products.

Frontera Petroleum Resources markets refined products, including gasoline, jet fuel, kerosene, base oil and motor oils. The company markets refined products to Europe, Asia, Africa and the Americas.
