GE, Trilliant at Work on Manila's Smart Grid Roadmap

Information will be provided to customers that will assist them in efficiently tracking and managing their energy use and bills.

As a part of Meralco's energy infrastructure modernization strategy, GE Digital Energy will supply electric meters and system integration services. Trilliant will supply its smart grid communications platform. Capable of enabling advanced intelligence in the prepaid metering system, the platform is expected to serve as a foundation for future advanced smart grid capabilities that enhance reliability and efficiency.

"The enhanced network control and efficiency tools enabled by smart meters opens doors to the very latest energy innovations, while reducing and minimizing outages," said Matt McKenzie, the general manager of GE Digital Energy's Asia Pacific segment.
