Indian refiners plan to add nearly 136,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production by the end of 2024.

Nayra Energy Limited leads among producers, with plans to construct 73,000 BBL/d in LPG production units by mid-2024. Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited plans to build 31,000 BBL/d worth, while Indian Oil Corporation Limited plans to add 16,500 BBL/d by the end of 2024. Similarly, Numaligarh Refinery Limited and HPCL Rajasthan Refinery Limited are increasing their LPG production capacities by 5,000 and 3,000 BBL/d, respectively, by the end of 2021.
