Among the largest Industrial Manufacturing projects planned to kick off this year is the redevelopment of Terminal A and Terminal B at LaGuardia Airport in New York. Terminal A will include the construction of a 1 million-square-foot building with 33 terminal gates and a 3,000-space parking garage. Terminal B will include construction of a 1.3 million-square-foot building with 38 terminal gates. The projects have a combined total investment value (TIV) of $7.5 billion. One of the area's largest data centers is being constructed in Delaware. Cirrus Delaware LLC's (Wilmington, Delaware) grassroot, 180,000-square-foot technology center in Middletown is planned to kick off construction in the third quarter of this year. The project has an estimated TIV of $350 million and is expected to be completed by the end of 2018. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.

In Pennsylvania, the largest project set to kick off during the year is the Southport Marine Terminal addition in Philadelphia. The $450 million project includes constructing a two-berth marine terminal on 119 acres that will feature a container yard with a planned throughput of 1.1 million twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) per year at full build-out. Construction on the project is planned to kick off during the fourth quarter of this year and be completed by the end of 2018. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.

Within the warehousing and distribution segment, one of the highest-value projects set to kick off this year is Dollar General Corporation's (NYSE:DG) (Goodlettsville, Tennessee) planned 750,000-square-foot distribution center in Amsterdam, New York. The $91 million facility will supply products to approximately 800 Dollar General stores throughout New York and the Northeast states.
