Released Friday, May 01, 2020
India's domestic sugar sales have dried up as COVID-19-induced lockdowns continues to exert pressure on both demand and supply. Ice cream, soft drink and confectionery manufacturers are among those who have shut down their operations, as sugar mills are unable to fulfill the monthly sales quotas allotted to them by the government in the current month.
The only hope left for India's sugar producers are prospective shipments to Indonesia.
Industrial Info is tracking 488 plants, with 2,182 functional management contacts, in India's sugar sector. Click here for a list of projects at these facilities, and see graph below for a breakdown by project type.
