Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) will host Guth Lighting, Incorporated (Saint Louis, Missouri) as its special guest on Industrialinfo.com Radio on Monday, November 6, 2006, as part of the weekly national broadcast of Industry Today. Guth Lighting has been a leading provider of commercial and industrial lighting systems for the most Demanding Lighting Conditions' for over 100 years. Guth Lighting has sponsored this special segment of Industry Today to discuss its new high efficiency Slimlux fluorescent highbay lighting fixtures.
The Slimlux fixture is certified by the National Sanitation Foundation and Guth is the only manufacturer approved to provide this fixture for use in food plants. Slimlux is suitable for surface mounting against insulated ceilings and has been upgraded to include a new mirror finish parabolic reflector that increases efficiency by 40%. This provides a lot more light from the fluorescent lamps to the work surface using less energy.
Another innovation by Guth to be presented in this interview is a new 250-watt compact alternating current inverter system (GPCF 250). This device operates any mix of fluorescent, LED and incandescent loads at full output. For example, it can power 62 building LED exit signs. Normally each one would have its own internal battery back-up that would have to be checked each month. The GPCF 250 is the only compact system on the market that provides 250 watts of emergency egress power for 90 minutes as required by the Life Safety Code. This extremely compact unit with a footprint of only 1.3 square feet can be mounted and remotely operated up to 1,000 feet.
Join Mr. Catone, along with Crazy Al of Industry Today, to learn about a recent completed project where Guth reduced the number of lighting fixtures for a major project in Puerto Rico from over 600 fixtures to just 380 while also reducing energy requirements from 430 watts to just 215 watts.
