Ohio Rotomolder Consolidates Operations in Alliance

Trilogy Plastics Incorporated (Louisville, Ohio), a growing rotomolding operation formed in 1987, has decided to move operations from two plants it currently occupies in Louisville, Ohio, along with its corporate offices, into a larger facility in Alliance, Ohio.

Trilogy will build a 105,000 square foot facility to house its six existing rotomolding machines and three CNC routers, as well as a seventh rotomolding machine it plans to buy early next year (if not at the time of this project), as well as its assembly and foaming departments. The new plant will be able to accommodate eight rotomolding machines in total, and according to Trilogy President, Stephen Osborn, the company will be able to add 67,000 square feet to the facility in future. He said, also, that the consolidation into one building would boost Trilogy's production by 30% to 40%. The move is expected to add fifteen new jobs to the present 95 workers, all of whom will transfer to the new plant, which is about ten miles from the old plants.

Geis Companies (Streetsboro, Ohio) has been chosen as general contractor for the more than $5 million construction project. As of this writing, the site plan has been approved by the city engineer's office, but the building plans have not, and no permits have been issued as yet. Sitework is expected to begin Tuesday, June 21, with foundation work following a couple of weeks later. All electrical work has been bid out, but there are still mechanical bid documents to be released.

Construction should be completed by October. Trilogy hopes to begin moving equipment and machinery into the new facility in October and begin production by the end of 2005.
