Pemex continues with test runs of its grassroot 340,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Dos Bocas Olmeca Refinery in Mexico. The start of commercial operations is expected no earlier than May 2024. The refinery is currently receiving natural gas from the Pemex processing plants located in Chiapas and Tabasco. Industrial Info continues to monitor the refinery's operational status of and will issue updates when more information becomes available.

Dangote Industries Limited, on December 10, started receiving crude oil at its 650,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Lekki Refinery in Nigeria, and the test run of the lone crude unit is scheduled for January 2024. While the commercial startup of the crude unit is tentatively scheduled for February 15, 2024, Industrial Info will continue monitoring for any additional updates.

OQ8, on December 10, began commercial operations of the lone crude unit at its 230,000-BBL/d Duqm Refinery in Oman. The unit is currently operating at 70% and expects to reach full capacity gradually by December 24. Additionally, OQ8 continues with the trial operations of secondary units and expects commercial startups gradually by December 24.
