Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Total (Leipzig, Germany) has awarded Technip Germany (Dusseldorf, Germany) to perform engineering, procurement and construction services for a 120-ton-per-hour (19,000-barrel-per-day) kerosene hydrodesulfurization unit addition at its Leuna refinery in Germany. The project will allow the refinery to produce kerosene and light diesel oil to meet Germany's clean-fuel specification of 50 parts per million. The hydrotreater unit is expected to begin construction in early 2008, and construction is expected to be complete by late 2009.
