The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is scheduled to see two new refineries brought online in the coming years, adding 700,000 barrels per day (BBL/d) of crude processing to its existing, 987,000-BBL/d processing capacity.
The 100,000-BBL/d Dubai Refinery is scheduled to begin operations at the end of 2022, while the 600,000-BBL/d Ruwais Refinery 3 is expected to begin operations by 2025. In addition, condensate processing is expected to reach 210,000 BBL/d via the expansion of the existing, 140,000-BBL/d Dubai Facility in early 2020.
