Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) is tracking more than $7.7 billion worth of projects involving contractor Whiting-Turner Contracting Company (Baltimore, Maryland). Among the largest projects for which the company is acting as general contractor is Amazon.com Incorporated's (NASDAQ:AMZN) (Seattle, Washington) grassroot air services hub in Hebron, Kentucky. The 3 million-square-foot building will feature a 350,000-square-foot loading dock and 100 or more aircraft parking spaces to handle more than 200 aircraft takeoffs and landings per day. In Euclid, Ohio, the company is at work another Amazon.com project in the form of a brownfield fulfillment center. The 1.7 million-square-foot building is being constructed on the site of a former shopping mall and will feature 64 loading docks and 280 trailer parking spaces. Whiting-Turner also has become part of the lucrative data center market and is underway with two projects belonging to Alphabet Incorporated (NASDAQ:GOOGL) (Mountain View, California). In Iowa, Whiting-Turner is expanding an existing 600,000-square-foot data center by constructing a four-story, 808,355-square-foot building to support Google services.
