At present, the location for the facility is being chosen. The site is expected to be announced in the second quarter of 2010. The total investment cost of the project is estimated at about $15 million.
One of the sites for the proposed mill is east of a town called Loncoche, which is in the province of Caution, Region IX. The project involves building a sawmill to process 120,000 cubic meters of wood, using 360,000 cubic meters of pine and eucalyptus as raw material.
