Shell, on November 1, experienced a pump seal fire in the Lone Crude Unit at its 240,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) refinery in Norco, Louisiana, after attempting to restart the facility that was shut down in late August due to Hurricane Ida. This has delayed the restart, although a duration for this event is undisclosed at this time.
