ONGC Accounts for 70% of India's Oil, Gas Production, an Industrial Info Market Brief

According to India's Petroleum Ministry, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) has seen its contribution to the nation's oil and gas production reach more than 70%, from under 53% a decade earlier. ONGC has been operational for more than four decades.

Although ONGC mostly holds fields that are in a natural decline, it maintained production throughout the last decade and had an output of 44.57 million tonnes of oil and oil-equivalent gas in 2019-20, which was 70.3% of India's total production of 63.35 million tonnes.
