PKN Orlen's Plock Refinery to Undergo Turnarounds in 2012

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land)--Polski Koncern Naftowy Orlen's (Orlen) (Plock, Poland) Plock refinery will have maintenance repairs performed in some processing units during the second quarter of 2012.

Orlen specializes in petrol, diesel, heating oil and aviation fuel production, as well as plastics, and operates seven refineries; three of them are in Plock, Trzebinia and Jedlicze, Poland; three in Litvinov, Kralupy and Pardubice, in the Czech Republic; and one in Mazeikiu, Lithuania.

Plock refinery performs planned shutdowns in its processing areas every four years; the next turnaround, scheduled to begin in June 2012, will be performed in the Petrochemical area on a steam cracker unit, propane splitters, propylene splitters, hydrosulfreen I and II units, a solvent unit, and poliethylene and polipropylene units. During the planned shutdown, routine cleaning and maintenance will be performed.
