Shutdown Planned for Hungarian Refinery

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--MOL Hungarian Oil & Gas Company (Budapest, Hungary) will be performing a maintenance turnaround at the company's 160,000-barrel-per-day (BBL/d) Százhalombatta Duna Refinery.

The plant began operations in 1960 and at present produces liquid gases (propane, butane), engine fuels, paraffin, jet fuel, diesel fuel, light fuel oils, basic oils, bitumen and sulphur.

The planned turnaround, which mainly entails cleaning and inspection will be performed on the 56,000-BBL/d Crude 2 unit and 20,000-BBL/d delayed coker unit in May for two weeks. In June, additional maintenance will occur on another crude unit and other associated units.
