Advanced Refining Concepts Completes Construction of Clean Liquid Fuels Plant in Nevada

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas)--Privately held startup Advanced Refining Concepts LLC (Reno, Nevada) has completed construction of a clean liquid fuels plant just outside of Reno, Nevada. The company constructed a 10,000-square-foot building on a 5-acre site in the Reno-Tahoe Industrial Park and is one of the first new refineries in the U.S. to begin production in the past 30 years.

The plant consists of the main production building, four 5,000-barrel storage tanks, a product-loading rack, a utility building and 10 fully automated robotic closed-loop catalytic systems, which efficiently convert natural gas or other biogases, such as vented methane or landfill gas, into clean liquid fuels.

The plant has a nameplate capacity of 100,000 gallons per day of trademarked "GDiesel" clean liquid fuel. The fuel can be used in a wide variety of transportation vehicles from fleet, diesel truck, automobiles, locomotives, military vehicles and power-generating equipment. A second phase of expansion is in the works that could double the plant's production capacity.

The facility, named Peru Heights, sits on 10 acres at the Tahoe Reno Industrial Center, located 10 miles east of Reno.

Reno Engineering Corporation (Reno, Nevada) provided the engineering for the estimated $10 million project, and LA Perks Plumbing & Heating (Sparks, Nevada) was the primary mechanical installation subcontractor.
