Plains All American to Expand Cactus Crude Oil Pipeline Capacity - Plains All American Pipeline LP (NYSE:PAA) (Houston, Texas) announced on Wednesday that it will expand capacity of its Cactus crude oil pipeline from McCamey to Gardendale, Texas, to approximately 390,000 barrels per day, allowing the company to move increased volumes from the Permian Basin. Oil at Lowest in a Week - Oil prices fell on Wednesday to their lowest in a week, on a strong dollar and expectations that U.S. producers would boost output even as OPEC's output fell from a record high. Brent crude ended the session at $53.92 per barrel, down $1.55 or 2.79%, while U.S. crude settled at $51.08, down $1.40, or 2.67%. (Reuters)

U.S. Ethane Production, Consumption, and Exports Expected to Increase through 2018 - U.S. production of ethane is expected to increase from an average of 1.25 million barrels per day (BBL/d) in 2016 to 1.7 million BBL/d in 2018 according to EIA's latest Short-Term Energy Outlook. Increased ethane production is expected to be consumed in the petrochemical industry domestically as well as exported to other countries. (EIA)

Permian Production to Continue to Accelerate - Oil production in the Permian Basin could rise by 53,000 barrels a day by next month, the Energy Department said Tuesday, and analysts expect the flurry of West Texas land deals to keep drillers pumping oil. (Fuel Fix)
