Canada's AltaGas to Build NatGas Processing Plant - AltaGas Limited (TSX:ALA) (Calgary, Alberta) said it will jointly build a natural gas processing plant and a natural gas liquids separation train with a privately held producer in the Montney shale play in western Canada. (Reuters)
BP Begins Pumping Oil for U.S. Gulf Expansion Project - A new subsea production system at one of BP's major oil fields in the Gulf of Mexico has begun collecting crude from a new well, the company said Monday. BP's effort to expand operations south in the deep-water Thunder Horse field, which it discovered in 1999, could eventually bring output up by 50,000 barrels of oil and gas equivalent per day there. Halliburton Net Loss Widens - Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) (Houston,Texas) reported a net loss of $149 million for fourth-quarter 2016, compared to a net loss of $28 million for 4Q15. (Business Wire)

Phillips 66 to Buy Oil from U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve - U.S. refiner Phillips 66 (NYSE:PSX) (Houston, Texas) on Monday said it would buy crude from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve after submitting a winning bid in an auction held earlier this month by the U.S. Department of Energy. (Reuters)
Oil Falls on Uptick in U.S. Drilling - Oil prices fell 1% on Monday as signs of a strong recovery in U.S. drilling largely overshadowed news that OPEC and non-OPEC producers were on track to meet output reduction goals. (Reuters)
