DP&L's Yankee Street Solar Project is expected to cost approximately $5 million and will cover more than seven acres. Dayton Power & Light Company (DP&L) is a subsidiary of DPL Incorporated (NYSE:DPL) and plans to install 9,000 solar panels that will provide renewable energy to almost 150 residents.

With the help of many regional companies, Ameridian Specialty Services has compiled a task force of local talent that will develop a 1.1-megawatt solar facility. A visitor's center has been integrated into the design of the facility to teach the public about solar technology. Construction began on this facility in December 2009 and is expected to be completed by the spring of 2010.
