Egyptian Petroleum Company Awarded $400 Million Terminals Project

These companies have expanded their activities and increased their expertise, allowing them to win $4.7 billion in contracts in 14 countries, including seven OPEC countries, according to Eng Sameh Fahmi, the Egyptian minister of petroleum.

In June, Fahmi visited Lebanon to research possibilities of Egyptian companies' companies' participating in exploration projects off the coast of Lebanon in the Mediterranean Sea. In September 2009, Egyptian experts helped operate the Deir Ammar power plant by using Egyptian gas that arrived to Lebanon via the Arab gas pipeline.

Last week, as result of these efforts Enppi (Cairo, Egypt) won a tender to implement 47 tanks with a capacity of 12 million barrels to store crude oil and petroleum products at the Yanbu oil refinery. Enppi will act as general contractor in the turnkey contract, which is worth $400 million and is the largest in Enppi's history.
