Dedicated to the independent power and electric utility industry, Energy Investors Funds, a private equity power fund manager, is investing approximately $400 million towards the proposed Bullard and Panoche Energy Power plants to be located in Fresno County, California.

Designed as peaking facilities to meet electric generation during periods of high demand and occupying thirteen acres, the Panoche plant is a 400-megawatt (MW) simple cycle natural gas-fired facility consisting of four 100 MW General Electric LMS100 combustion turbines. The Bullard plant includes two 100 MW General Electric LMS100 combustion turbines with auxiliary equipment. Both plants will include inlet air filters with evaporate coolers, mechanical draft cooling tower, circulating pumps, and gas compressors.

Air emissions at both plants will be controlled using the best available control technology such as the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system to reduce nitrogen dioxide (NOx) and water treatment system.

Bibb & Associates, Incorporated (Lenexa, Kansas) has been selected to provide engineering services for the projects.

Construction is scheduled for kick off in the spring of 2008 at both sites, with completion in mid-2009.
